Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine visiting professor Patrick E. Muck, M.D., will give a virtual presentation entitled “Modern Management of VTE” on Wednesday, Oct. 14, from 7 to 8 p.m.
His Department of Surgery city-wide Grand Rounds presentation is part of the 2020 Richard Dewall Surgical Innovation Lecture Series.

Muck was drawn to a specialization in vascular surgery early in his career because of its profound impact on the quality of a patient’s life. He has since garnered worldwide acclaim for his ability and research in the field.
Originally from Northern Kentucky and a University of Notre Dame graduate, Muck is director of the TriHealth Vascular Fellowship Program and a vascular surgeon with TriHealth Heart Institute in Cincinnati and Lawrenceburg, Indiana.
He specializes in minimally invasive treatment of all types of circulatory system issues including aortic aneurysm, carotid artery disease, chronic venous insufficiency, deep vein thrombosis, peripheral vascular disease and varicose veins. In collaboration with his colleges at the TriHealth Heart Institute, he teaches cutting-edge vascular techniques to physicians from around the world. Through the TriHealth Vascular Fellowship Program, Muck also advances vascular care in the Tristate and nationally by training the next generation of vascular surgeons. He also has led many clinical trials at TriHealth, which offer the newest vascular treatments to patients.
