Seventy-five pumpkins and treats were available for students to grab during the Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree in Student Union Atrium on Oct. 21.
The Jack-O’-Lantern Jamboree was hosted by the University Activities Board (UAB) and featured free pumpkins, goodie bags with candy and hot chocolate along Halloween-themed music.
The event was aimed at getting students to participate in activities on campus. “Even though a lot of the classes are online it’s just to get people involved,” said event organizer Destiny Ellars, a junior majoring in public health.
UAB has also organized a Halloween Costume Contest for students. Participants should submit a photo via @wsuab on Instagram or Twitter by Nov. 1. The winning costume photo will receive a spooky basket with prizes.
