Wright State University’s Campus Recreation will resume in-person group fitness classes and open the indoor climbing wall on March 8.

“We have a really awesome schedule coming with a mix of cycling classes, functional training, circuits and strength training,” said Kara Donbrock, Campus Recreation program manager.

Campus Recreation is following all COVID-19 safety guidelines. Participants must wear masks at all times and stay at least six feet away from others. Fitness classes will have marked sections on the floor to ensure physical distancing.

Space is limited so participants must register for fitness classes and the climbing wall on IMLeagues.com. Registration for classes will begin a week before each class is scheduled.

Campus Recreation will offer in-person lunchtime and evening fitness classes while also continuing to offer virtual workouts for students and employees.

Donbrock is optimistic that Campus Recreation will be able to add more classes and activities in the next few months as the temperatures rise. “There’s a ton of research that supports that physical fitness supports academic wellbeing,” said Donbrock.
