Wright State freshmen and upperclassmen opened the Fall Semester with First Weekend on the Dayton Campus from Aug. 20 through Aug. 22. The weekend was packed with many opportunities for new and returning students to learn about Wright State, get involved and have fun.
“I think my First Weekend is going good,” said Alexiah Pastor, a freshman nursing major who took part in several activities including Do the U.
First Weekend events included Party in the Woods, Do the U, Cook Out with the President, mud volleyball and Student Union After Dark. The weekend also featured departmental and student organization events, giving students opportunities to get to know their classmates, faculty and staff.
“I’m so happy,” said Jonathan Ciero a senior mechanical engineering major and Student Government Association president. “I’m excited to be back on campus, and I got a huge smile on my face.”
