The Craze is back

After a four-year hiatus because of COVID-19, April Craze returned to Wright State University on April 22.

For some, the outdoor festival is a time to play carnival games, socialize with classmates and learn about Wright State organizations and clubs. For others, it’s a way to dance their cares away and enjoy delicious food. But for all, it marks the end of Spring Semester and a time to unwind.

This year’s event was organized by the University Activities Board, which expected 3,000 to 5,000 students along with 100 campus organizations and eight area food vendors.

“I want students to takeaway that we are that big community campus,” said Izzy Rice, a sophomore marketing major and April Craze organizer.

This event marks the ninth anniversary of April Craze, which replaced the former end-of-the-quarter event May Daze in 2012. It has continued to be one of the most widely celebrated events at Wright State.
