Wright State students, faculty and staff learned about opportunities to give back to the community at the We Serve U Volunteer Fair on Sept. 20 in the Student Union Atrium.
The seventh annual fair hosted 20 nonprofit organizations for which Wright State community members can volunteer.
Hosted by Wright State’s We Serve U, the event encouraged attendees to volunteer for local organizations throughout Raider Country. Representatives from organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Hannah’s Treasure Chest, Ronald McDonald House, YWCA and United Rehabilitation Services of Greater Dayton were in attendance, as well as Wright State organizations We Serve U and Miracle Makers.
“We are happy to try to connect Wright State students, staff and faculty to these opportunities that maybe they don’t know of, “said Joanie Hendricks, We Serve U co-chair. “We always want to try to help our local community.”
