The Raider Food Pantry at Wright State University is hosting a food drive competition throughout March.
Departments around campus are competing to win weekly homemade trophies and an overall-winner trophy for their collection efforts.
Each week, the collection theme changes so the pantry can focus on items it is in greatest need of.
“We are definitely low on items and definitely need the support,” said Tylar O’Neal-White, counseling and wellness student advocate and case manager.
The competition is in its second week, but Wright State community members can still participate in the food drive. Students, faculty and staff may partner with a participating office or drop off donations in the decorated bins near the Raider Food Pantry at 055 Student Union.
Below is the list of items the pantry is collecting in March:
March 6–10: Peanut butter and jelly Breakfast foods (cereal, oatmeal, breakfast bars, etc.)
March 13–17: Vegetarian (plain pasta, white rice, brown rice, etc.)
March 20–24: Breakfast foods (cereal, oatmeal, breakfast bars, etc.)
March 27–31: Microwavable/dorm-ready meals (cup of noodles, mac and cheese cups)
