Wright State University students, faculty and staff learned about opportunities to give back to the community at the We Serve U Volunteer Fair on Sept. 13 in the Student Union Atrium.
The 12th annual fair hosted 15 nonprofit organizations for which Wright State community members can volunteer.
Hosted by Wright State’s We Serve U, the event encouraged attendees to volunteer for local organizations throughout Raider Country. Representatives from organizations such as Crayons to Classrooms, Dayton Access Television, 4 Paws for Ability, Habitat for Humanity, Hannah’s Treasure Chest, Ronald McDonald House and Aullwood Audubon Center and Farm.
“I believe these organizations keep coming back because they have found dedicated volunteers in Wright State faculty, staff and students,” said Bing Bingham, We Serve U co-chair and alumni relations officer. “It’s mutually fulfilling. They are filling their volunteer needs, and our students are giving back to the community.”
