Wright State golf team headed to San Diego Regional in NCAA tournament

The Wright State University men’s golf team is headed to the NCAA Championship for the seventh time in program history after earning a spot in the San Diego Regional. The Raiders learned their destination on May 1 as part of the live selection show on the Golf Channel.

The Raiders will play a practice round on Sunday, May 12, before teeing off in the regional with 18 holes each day from Monday to Wednesday, May 13 to 15, at The Farms Golf Club in Rancho Santa Fe, California.

San Diego is one of six regional sites that will tee off around the country over those three days, with the National Championship taking place May 24-29 in Carlsbad, California.

Wright State captured its eighth Horizon League Championship in Florida in April, the second-most all-time in the Horizon and its third team title in the last five seasons.

Andrew Flynn won the Horizon League’s individual title, becoming the third-consecutive Raider to capture the Horizon League individual title and the ninth Wright State player to win the league’s individual title.
