Top-seeded Wright State will host 2024 Horizon League baseball tournament after capturing regular season title

After securing its sixth consecutive Horizon League regular season baseball title, Wright State University will host the 2024 Horizon League Baseball Championship at Nischwitz Stadium May 22–25.

The Raiders, who locked up the regular season title and the No. 1 seed on Andrew Patrick’s walk-off home run against Northern Kentucky, enter the tournament at 31-22 overall and 20-10 in the Horizon League. Wright State is 14-6 at The Nisch this season.

The Horizon League Baseball Championship will begin with three games at Nischwitz Stadium on Wednesday, May 22: No. 4 seed Milwaukee taking on No. 5 seed Purdue Fort Wayne and No. 3 seed Oakland playing No. 6 seed Youngstown State, with the two losers of the opening games meeting Wednesday night in an elimination game.

Wright State will face the lowest-seeded winner from Wednesday’s first two games on Thursday, May 23, at 11 a.m.

At 3 p.m., No. 2 seed Northern Kentucky will face the highest remaining seed winner from Wednesday’s games. The third game on Thursday will get underway at approximately 7 p.m.

The tournament continues Friday, May 24, with a winners bracket contest at 11 a.m., followed by games at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Saturday’s championship game is set for a noon first pitch, with the “if necessary game” to follow.

All games of the 2024 Horizon League Championship will air on ESPN+, with live stats available to follow the action.

Admission is free for kids 5 and under and Horizon League students with a college ID.

All tickets are mobile. It is recommended that fans purchase ahead of time.

Anyone who does not have a smartphone can purchase tickets at the stadium. Tickets purchased at the gate will be texted to customers.
