The Wright State Raiders men’s basketball team and the Air Force Academy Falcons will face off in the first Stars, Stripes and Flight Classic.
The game will be on Nov. 30 at 7 p.m. at the Nutter Center.
Scott Sullivan, an Air Force veteran, said he moved to Dayton for his first assignment, he met his wife, raised his kids and has proudly stayed here.
“What a great day to make the announcement of the best game to happen in Dayton, Ohio in a long time, Air Force is playing Wright State. It’s going to be a big deal because, guess what, this is an Air Force town,” said Sullivan.
WSU President Sue Edwards shared her excitement for the upcoming game.
“It is so exciting to have the Air Force Academy coming to Wright State to take on the Raiders. You know, I might be slightly biased in looking forward to a great big Raider win. It’s going to be a great day, we’re looking forward to hosting all of our friends from the base here, we are built on base land. We are joined at the hip with Wright Patterson Air Force Base, we want to do everything we can to make the airmen and women feel like they are a part of our community,” said Edwards.
