Wright State University students danced for 12 straight hours, raising over $55,000 for children’s mental health services.
The annual Raiderthon dance marathon, held March 29 in the Student Union Apollo Room, attracted more than 200 participants who danced, played games and enjoyed live entertainment to support the Mathile Center for Mental Health and Wellness at Dayton Children’s Hospital
“People are happy to participate in all of these fun events,” said Ashley Greene, a senior organizational studies major and president of the Wright State Miracle Makers. “It’s really a great opportunity for students to come together and support Dayton Children’s.”
Raiderthon marked the culmination of yearlong fundraising efforts by Wright State Miracle Makers, a division of The Children’s Miracle Network, which supports local children’s hospitals.
Since 2013, Raiderthon has raised awareness and over $550,000 for Dayton Children’s.
