On Thursday, May 1, 2025, the Lake Campus of Wright State University will hold its 53rd annual commencement ceremony at Romer’s Catering in Celina. The ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m.
Susan Edwards, Ph.D., president, Wright State University, will be providing the Commencement Address.
The 2025 Outstanding Alumna Award recipient, Lucy Staugler, will be honored at the ceremony and will be providing remarks to the graduates. Staugler received bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wright State University and had a fulfilling 33-year career in public school education in the local area. Staugler currently serves as the executive director of the Grand Lake Area Literature Festival.
Andrea Faber, Ph.D., Lake Campus vice provost and chief administrative officer, will preside over the ceremony.
Gwyneth Elking, of St. Henry, will be providing remarks on behalf of the class of 2025. Elking will earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and is the 2025 Top Scholar for Lake Campus.
The Lake Campus will confer 170 degrees, with a little over 100 students expected to participate in the ceremony. This is a ticketed event for the guests of graduates.
