The Foodbank will host a mass food distribution on Thursday, Aug. 7, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Wright State University Nutter Center.
Free produce, proteins, grains and other products will be available for people in the Greene County area who need food assistance. Registration is not required.
SICSA Pet Adoption and Wellness Center will also distribute pet food at the event.
Since this is a drive-thru style distribution, vehicles should have plenty of space in the trunk or backseat for food to be placed.
Vehicles should enter the Nutter Center grounds from Colonel Glenn Highway and North Fairfield Road. Staff and volunteers will direct traffic to Lot 8 toward the back of the property.
The Foodbank asks that clients arrive no earlier than 9 a.m. for setup and safety purposes.
The event is sponsored by CareSource. CareSource and Wright State basketball players will volunteer their time to distribute food.
For questions about the mass food distribution in Greene County, call The Foodbank at 937-461-0265.
Residents unable to attend the distribution event can access The Foodbank’s pantry locator tool and other resources at thefoodbankdayton.org/locate-pantry.
Wright State students in need of emergency assistance should schedule an appointment at the Raider Food Pantry or call the pantry at 937-260-0167.
