Fall Fest, the annual celebration that highlights Weeks of Welcome at Wright State University, brought thousands of students, staff and faculty together for a carnival-themed day filled with fun, music, food and free giveaways.
The Aug. 29 event gave students the opportunity to meet student leaders and learn more about student organizations, educational opportunities at Wright State and services offered by different campus departments.
“There are so many things to get involved in and Fall Fest is a great way to showcase this,” said Emelee Porter, a senior nursing major who helped organize the event.
Organized by the University Activities Board, Fall Fest attracted about 5,000 attendees and featured 114 student and campus organizations and 20 vendors.
“This is the biggest Fall Fest we’ve ever had — we are at max capacity,” said Porter. “It’s amazing to see how excited everyone is.”
