From goat yoga to pumpkin smashing, Wright State University put a creative spin on World Mental Health Day with activities designed to help students, faculty and staff prioritize their mental health.
The celebration on Oct. 1–2 featured outdoor fitness sessions, a film screening and fun activities designed to inspire, educate and help students and employees destress. At the Wellness Resource Fair, students, faculty and staff enjoyed games, food trucks, music, caricature artists, pumpkin smashing and goat yoga.
“Wright State is a community that cares about mental health and wants to support the mental health of its students, staff and faculty,” said Sara Baker, wellness and health program manager in Counseling and Wellness Services.
The events were part of the Health and Wellness Task Force’s continuing work to foster a culture of care on Wright State’s Dayton and Lake campuses and promote resources that help community members prioritize their well-being.
