Ready for take off

Wright State’s annual Campus Scholarship and Innovation Campaign takes flight on March 16

Just as Wright State University’s namesakes, Orville and Wilbur Wright, took the first flight and forever changed the world, Wright State faculty, staff and retirees change the lives of students every day. Whether traveling a couple of miles or halfway across the world, our students chose Wright State as their destination.

During the annual Campus Scholarship and Innovation Campaign (CSIC), faculty, staff and retirees can further impact students by making a gift to one of more than 2,000 scholarships and programs.

During this year’s CSIC, which runs from March 16 to April 24, faculty, staff and retirees are invited to join the Flight Crew, which currently consists of 691 crew members.

“The Flight Crew is composed of like-minded faculty, staff and retirees who support the mission of Wright State University and its commitment to the success of current and future students,” said Amy Jones, director of annual giving. “By joining the Flight Crew, you are making a meaningful impact in our students’ educational experience while also investing in the areas of campus that mean the most to you.”

All CSIC donors, who make a minimum gift of $5, are recognized as members of the Flight Crew.

“This is our way of honoring faculty, staff and retirees for their support of Wright State University and our students,” Jones said. “We encourage all faculty, staff and retirees to come on board and propel our students to take off to even greater heights of success.”

During last year’s CSIC, 54% of Wright State’s full-time faculty and staff participated, contributing more than $350,000 to scholarships, programs and athletics.

As the 2026 campaign takes flight, the goal is 50% participation among full-time faculty and staff.
