Wright State University announces sold out game for Stars, Stripes and Flight Classic featuring Air Force Falcons

Wright State Raiders and Air Force Falcons headline a highly anticipated Nov. 2 game at the Nutter Center celebrating basketball, community and military service; tickets are sold out

The Stars, Stripes and Flight Classic will feature the Wright State Raiders and the Air Force Falcons and will also serve as the home opener for the defending Horizon League Champions.

With less than two weeks to tip off, Wright State University is thrilled to announce a SOLD OUT game for the Stars, Stripes and Flight Classic men’s basketball game, supported by CareSource and The Big Hoopla.

The Nov. 2 game will feature a competitive matchup between the Wright State Raiders and the Air Force Falcons at the Nutter Center, while also serving as the home opener for the defending Horizon League champions and the start of another exciting basketball season in Dayton.

“Fans have stepped up for both the Raiders and Falcons in an unprecedented show of support,” said Wright State Athletics Director Brad Chandler. “We’ve hinted at a few surprises, but simply put, the Nutter Center will be the place to be for the opening night of college basketball.”

The Dayton region has earned its reputation as the epicenter of college basketball, and Wright State is a big reason why. The Raiders have reached the NCAA Tournament in two of the last five seasons. Now they will open this season on a night that brings our community together to honor those who serve and have served our nation, while also kicking off The Big Hoopla, building toward the return of the First Four to Dayton in March 2027.

This highly anticipated game will bring fans from across the Miami Valley for a special night of college basketball while honoring Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, the U.S. Air Force, veterans and active-duty military.

Ticket holders will receive a free Vintage Rowdy T-shirt at the door. More details regarding pregame activities will be released next week.

The Stars, Stripes and Flight Classic men’s basketball game starts at 7 p.m. in the Nutter Center. For more information, visit wsuraiders.com.
