P&G partners with Wright State on internships, jobs

Excerpt

Procter & Gamble Co. is partnering with Wright State University to fill internships and jobs with students who have disabilities.

The agreement stems from a P&G (NYSE: PG) group that includes employees with disabilities, relatives of people who have disabilities and disabled military veterans.

“There is every possibility that once they start seeing our internship and graduate students coming from their academic programs that they may decide to do some additional kinds of things down the road because they like the way we’re training students,” Jeffrey Vernooy, director of Wright State’s Office of Disability Services, said in a statement. “That’s the big, significant part of it.”

Vernooy said P&G officials will come to campus to interview interested students among the about 550 who are currently registered with the disability office. Students will also be able to tour P&G and ask questions about job and internship opportunities.
