Miles Dixon’s buzzer shot won the game for Wright State University’s basketball team Saturday evening, but it also set in motion a chain of events that could pay big dividends for the Raider’s athletic program as well as the rest of the school.
For starters, the winning shot was played in heavy rotation on ESPN’s SportsCenter – including being named one of the top plays of the day – and puts the Raiders in Tuesday night’s nationally televised Horizon League championship.
And a win Tuesday would put Wright State in the NCAA tournament where that national exposure is magnified.
