The Wright State University Raj Soin College of Business Young Business Scholars soared to new heights on Thursday, April 18, 2013, as they scaled the rock-climbing wall in the Student Union.
The Raj Soin College of Business Young Business Scholars are a group of 15 high school students from the Dayton Early College Academy we have an interest in business. Each month during the academic year, the students visited the college to participate in a seminar series that translated business concepts into real-world scenarios that the students discussed and reflected upon. From the impact of Walmart’s participation in the production and employment markets to topics like minimum wage, the students were exposed to a breadth of business concepts.
The Dayton Early College Academy is an inner-city school that has been recognized for academic excellence by U.S. News and World Report and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The Raj Soin College of Business has had a committed partnership with the Dayton Early College Academy since 2008.
The program concluded this year with “Wright State University Day,” where the students got to experience and explore the campus with a tour, lunch at Union Market and an opportunity to climb the rock-climbing wall.
