Orthopaedic symposium at Wright State Physicians will focus on common foot and ankle issues

Foot X-rayThe Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation’s fourth annual symposium, “Common Foot and Ankle Issues,” scheduled for Friday, March 20, has been canceled.

The symposium is designed for practicing physicians, registered nurses, physician assistants, medical assistants, surgical staff, athletic trainers, coaches and current and future orthopaedic surgery and sports medicine residents.

The course will enable participants to properly identify common foot and ankle issues and discuss factors affecting diagnosis, prevention and treatment of the disorders.

Participants will be able to identify mechanisms associated with common foot and ankle issues. They will be able to perform appropriate evaluations of foot and ankle issues to initiate evidence-based treatment options, from an operative and non-operative perspective, and predict expected outcomes and treatments that will produce the best long-term results. Participants also will learn about new and emerging technologies for the treatment of common foot and ankle issues.
