The University Activities Board’s second annual Project Runway challenged participants to create a stylish garment from unusual materials and then send it down the catwalk. A panel of judges included one of the top two finalists from season eight of the real Project Runway, Mondo Guerra.

- Prior to the competition, Guerra spoke to the audience about living with HIV.

- Guerra, who is HIV positive, spoke of his own personal battle with the virus.

- Following Mondo’s presentation, competitors had just a couple hours to create their fashions.

- Participants could use any materials except fabric.

- At the end of the competition, models walked the catwalk in their garments.
