Cookout in the Woods

Wright State students who live in campus housing were treated to a free lunch on Thursday, Oct. 6.

Residence Life and Housing hosted the annual Cookout in the Woods as a way to thank students. Staff served up 800 hamburgers and 500 hotdogs to students over a four-hour period.

Students appreciated the free lunch and the chance to play games and socialize with other residents. “It’s nice. It shows that the school cares,” said Tristan Allen, a freshman acting student.

“Thank you for trusting us to be able to facilitate your learning in a residential area,” said Dave Mooring, community director for Residence Life and Housing.

Now in its sixth year, the cookout is held once a semester.
