Fleece blankets for sick and traumatized children were cut, tied and labeled by Wright State students, faculty and staff on March 22 in the Student Union Atrium.
With the help of 241 volunteers more than 700 blankets were donated to Dayton Children’s Hospital through the nonprofit organization Project Linus. Since 1995, Project Linus has donated over 6.3 million blankets nationally.
One blanket costs between $10 and $18 to make. Wright State has donated a total of 5,906 blankets in previous years to the Dayton-area Project Linus.
