At least four people with connections to Wright State University will be among the 20 speakers at TEDxDayton 2018.
The sixth edition of the event will take place on Friday, Oct. 12, from 1 to 6 p.m. at the Victoria Theatre in Dayton.
Speakers include Kevin Cornell, Ohio’s 2016 PBS Lead Digital Innovator and who earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Wright State in education and teaching, respectively; Andre T. Harris of Horizon Women’s Health Care who earned his medical degree from Wright State; newspaper veteran Ray Marcano, who teaches digital media in the Department of Communication; and pharmacist Stephanie VanHouten, who earned her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Wright State.
TEDxDayton spreads ideas and perspectives to spark conversation and connections in the community. The event uses TED’s celebrated format of short, carefully prepared talks, demonstrations and performances that foster learning, inspiration, and wonder while also prompting conversations that matter.
