For the eighth consecutive year, Wright State University students, faculty and staff made “Cards for Kids” for patients at Dayton Children’s Hospital on Nov. 8.
“I think it’s great that Wright State supports something like this and encourages its staff, faculty and students to come out and help out in this way,” said Mechelle Wheeler, a junior majoring in early childhood education.
Dozens of volunteers made hand-designed cards during the lunch hour event, which was sponsored by We Serve U. Organizers estimate that thousands of cards have been donated to Dayton Children’s Hospital over the past eight years.
Cards are distributed to patients during their meals at Dayton Children’s.
