About 170 children got the Wright State University experience as part of the 15th annual Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day.
Sponsored by the Take Our Daughters and Sons to Work Day Foundation, the April 6 event resulted in the boys and girls between the ages of ages of 8 and 18 observing their parents or mentors at work, exploring the campus and attending concurrent sessions focusing on career paths in the sciences, business, technology, arts, and other fields.
“It’s important because they’re seeing what I do every day,” said Julia Acosta, director of Latino Affairs. Acosta’s son and daughter both participated in several of the breakout sessions.
