DAYTON – Ten Miami Valley women have been named 2011 recipients of the Ten Top Women awards.
The honor, initiated in 1962, recognizes leaders in the community who contribute time and talent for the greater good. A luncheon in their honor, produced by the Dayton Daily News, will be Tuesday, Dec. 6, at the Schuster Center.
“As a company, we are thrilled to support the women of the Miami Valley who give so much to our community and make it a better place,” said Julia Wallace, vice president of Cox Media Group Ohio. “This is one small way to honor them and tell their stories of inspiration.”
The women will join 480 past recipients:
• Mary Ann Angel, adjunct faculty, University of Dayton
• Margaret Dunn, executive associate dean, Boonshoft School of Medicine, and president and CEO, WSU Physicians
• Jennie J. Gallimore, professor of engineering, Director of Human-Centered Innovation, Wright State University
