Every year, Wright State baseball coach Rob Cooper sends his players home for winter break with a reading assignment, a different book each time.
In 2008, Cooper came home one evening to find his wife watching an Oprah Winfrey Show episode regarding “The Last Lecture,” a book by Carnegie Mellon professor Randy Pausch. The previous year, the terminally ill Pausch gave a speech to one of his classes about chasing dreams that became hugely popular and inspirational on YouTube.
