Wright State students, alumni and other basketball fans turned out in force Nov. 11 for a game against No. 3 ranked Ohio State in Columbus. It was a chance to play on the big stage in a contest televised by the Big Ten Network. Wright State supporters sat behind the Raider bench and in other sections at the Schottenstein Center.
The Raiders put up a fight, but went down to defeat 73-42. Freshman Raider guard Reggi Arcenaux was a bright spot. He played 32 minutes, scored 11 points and grabbed four rebounds.
Prior to the game, Wright State students, staff, alumni and friends gathered at the Varsity Club for a tailgate party that featured pizza, wings and sandwiches. More than 100 alumni attended the party, most of them from the Dayton, Columbus and Cleveland areas.
The event was hosted by the Wright State University Alumni Association Columbus Network.
