Organizers of a workshop designed to develop national strategies for expanding best practices in mentoring have invited Yi Li, dean of Wright State’s College of Science and Mathematics, to participate.
Sponsored by the prestigious National Science Foundation Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science, Mathematics and Engineering Mentoring program, the title of the workshop is “Propagating Effective Mentoring.”
Li, Ph.D., plans to attend the workshop Dec. 1-2 in Arlington, Va.
The presidential awards program seeks to identify outstanding mentoring efforts that enhance the participation and retention of individuals who might not have had opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) areas.
