Students use of credit cards decreasing

“A lot of people (including lenders and employers) look at your credit score to derive an opinion about you,” said Bill Wood, the director of Wright State University’s financial services degree program.

Credit card companies used to market their products and services to college students through elaborate advertising campaigns and giveaways on school campuses of items such as T-shirts, electronics and memorabilia, school officials said.
