The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine has chosen Dr. Kenneth Gaines to chair its newly formed neurology department.
Gaines will take the reins May 1. In addition, he will serve as a neurology professor within the medical school and special projects director for clinical neuroscience development at Premier Health Partners .
The university completed a nationwide search to fill the position. Gaines currently is the neurology department chair for the Ochsner Clinic and Foundation in New Orleans. He also has served as a clinical neurology professor at Tulane University School of Medicine, and prior to that, he was the neurology chair at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
