Wright State Physicians Orthopaedics will offer an educational session, “No Bones About It: Minimizing the Impact of Age Related Decline in Bone Health,” on Tuesday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m., in classroom 1 on the second floor of the Wright State Physicians Health Center (725 University Blvd.) on the campus of Wright State University. The session is free and open to the public.
The speaker is Iva Staats, a physical therapist with Wright State Physicians Orthopaedics. She will speak about osteopenia and osteoporosis; the role of weight bearing exercise in maintaining bone density; calcium and supplements for healthy bones; and fall risk identification and avoidance.
