Wright State’s Homecoming Week packed with activities as university marks 50th anniversary

Soccer games, a golf cart parade, a chili cook-off, a bonfire and a reunion of Wright State’s founding classes will be among the flurry of activities during Homecoming Week as the university celebrates its 50th anniversary.

The celebration begins Monday, Sept. 25, with the University Activities Board Homecoming Kickoff and wraps up Sunday, Oct. 1, with the Student Affairs recognition brunch. In between, there are nearly 30 other events.

“This is shaping up as perhaps the biggest, most exciting Homecoming Week in the history of Wright State,” said Eric Corbitt, director of the Student Union, Campus Recreation and Student Activities. “There is something for everyone.
