A Wright State alumnus’ lifelong dream is now a reality. Adam Wik, who has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and an MBA from Wright State, created Galatune, a science fiction/fantasy card game in which players battle their opponents.
Wik started developing the game when he was 10 years old. “Back then my game was ugly stick figures,” he said.
While completing his MBA, Wik pitched his game concept to a panel of five judges during the 2016 Wright Venture “Face the Wolves” business competition. He won the competition, helping him let the world enjoy his game.
“Thanks to Wright State University’s Wright Venture student business competition, I was able to get that spark of mentorship and funding to actually take the game to market,” said Wik.
Galatune is now available online at galatune.com and at your local gaming store.
The next Wright Venture competition will be held on March 27, 2018.
