The Princeton Review names Wright State one of nation’s top business schools for its MBA program

The MBA program offered by the Raj Soin College of Business provides an in-depth, multidisciplinary understanding of business while emphasizing ethics and sustainability and a global perspective.

The Wright State University Raj Soin College of Business is one of the nation’s most outstanding business schools, offering a top on-campus MBA program, according to The Princeton Review.

The education services company chose the Raj Soin College of Business for its Best Business Schools for 2022, an evaluation of on-campus MBA programs at a select 241 business schools out of the 521 schools accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business and less than 25% of all business degree-offering schools.

“This honor is a true testament to our faculty, staff, as well as our intelligent and industrious students and alumni,” said Thomas Traynor, Ph.D., dean of the Raj Soin College of Business. “We have been the only business school in the greater Dayton region to be honored with Princeton Review’s Best Business Schools designation for several years and are proud that Princeton Review’s thorough review process continues to recognize our excellence.”

The list, which was released Dec. 14, was based on a combination of institutional and student survey data, including career outcomes, admissions selectivity and academic rigor.

The MBA program at Wright State provides an in-depth, multidisciplinary understanding of business while emphasizing ethics and sustainability and a global perspective.

“We recommend Wright State as an excellent choice for an aspiring MBA,” said Rob Franek, editor-in-chief of The Princeton Review.

The company chose the schools for its 2022 list based on data from the company’s surveys of administrators at business schools during the 2020-21 academic year. The administrator survey, which numbered more than 300 questions, covered topics from academic offerings and admission requirements to data about current students as well as graduates’ employment.

“What makes our Best Business Schools list unique is that we factor in data from our surveys of students attending the schools about their campus and classroom experiences,” said Franek. “For our 2022 list we tallied surveys of more than 18,900 students at 241 business schools.”

The Princeton Review’s 80-question student survey asked students about their school’s academics, student body and campus life as well as about themselves and their career plans. The student surveys were conducted during the 2020-21, 2019-20 and 2018–19 academic years.

Wright State students said the Raj Soin College of Business offers a great education for an affordable price. In addition to a traditional full-time MBA, the Raj Soin College of Business offers cohort MBA programs that meet in the evenings or on the weekends to accommodate the needs of working students.

Students said they appreciate they can get a great education without sacrificing too much of their work life, that Wright State is very commuter-friendly and that selecting classes online is easy and convenient.

Students said classes foster innovation and creativity and that lectures and discussions revolve around real-world experiences. They said the workload is challenging but manageable and that most professors are top-notch and help students become well-rounded business professionals.

The Princeton Review did not rank the on-campus MBA programs overall, from 1 to 241, or name one business school best overall. All schools that participated in The Princeton Review Best Business Schools for 2022 survey project were considered for the lists. Schools that did not participate were not considered.

In November, The Princeton Review named the Raj Soin College of Business as one of the nation’s top colleges for aspiring entrepreneurs. The college was ranked No. 46 among schools for graduate entrepreneurship studies in 2021. Wright State’s ranking was based on its New Venture Creation concentration in the Master of Business Administration Program.

The Raj Soin College of Business is one of the select business schools to simultaneously hold the designations of AACSB accredited, Princeton Review Best Business School and be ranked by U.S. News and World Report as having an online MBA and specialized online master’s in business programs that are also among the nation’s best.
