Wright State University will host a Graduate Programs Open House on Thursday, Nov. 7, for those who are ready to take the next step in their education or career.

Hosted by the College of Graduate Programs and Honors Studies, the open house will be held in the Student Union from 4 to 6 p.m.

Wright State will waive its $40 graduate program application fee for those who attend the open house.

During the Graduate Programs Open House, attendees can:

  • Meet with program directors, faculty members and admission staff to learn about curriculum, research opportunities and departmental culture
  • Discover how quickly they can earn a degree or certificate that could boost their earnings
  • Explore options to fund their education by attending a financial aid information session at 4 p.m. or 5 p.m.
  • Learn about campus resources that will support their success
  • Connect with current Wright State students to learn about their experiences

“Our graduate open house is an invaluable opportunity for prospective students to explore our diverse programs, meet with faculty and understand the resources and support available to them. This event offers a firsthand look at how we prepare our students for success in their fields,” said Subhashini Ganapathy, Ph.D., dean of the College of Graduate Programs and Honors Studies.

Wright State offers more than 150 graduate programs and certificates in engineering and computer science, business, nursing, education, human services, psychology, liberal science and mathematics.

Wright State offers a mixture of class styles and times designed to fit students’ busy lives and responsibilities. Eligible graduate students can attend part-time or full-time and take classes online, in-person or a combination of both.

Some graduate programs can be completed in one year or completely online, while some graduate certificate programs require as few as three courses and can be counted toward a future graduate degree.
