Fall Fest, the annual celebration that highlights Raider Weeks at Wright State University, brought students, staff and faculty together for a disco-themed day of fun, groovy music, far-out food and free goodies.
The Aug. 30 event gave students a chance to meet student leaders and learn more about student organizations, educational opportunities at Wright State and services offered by different campus departments.
“There are so many things to get involved in and Fall Fest is a great way to showcase this,” said Emelee Porter, a junior nursing major at Wright State who helped organize the event.
Organized by the University Activities Board, Fall Fest attracted about 5,000 people and 115 student organizations and vendors.
“This event is so important to students because school can be stressful, and this event gives the students time to take a break from their work and just have fun,” said Porter.
