Lion donates $70K in equipment to Calamityville

Lion, a Vandalia-based provider of protective clothing for fire and rescue workers, has donated a large supply of equipment to Wright State University’s National Center for Medical Readiness at Calamityville, school officials announced.

The donation of personal protective clothing and urban search and rescue training equipment is valued at about $70,000, officials said.

Steve Schwartz, Lion’s chief executive, said the contribution will help make Calamityville a safer, more realistic training environment, and contribute to its long term success.
