Wright State University is getting $7.5 million for more research on drones.
The Air Force Research Laboratory awarded Wright State another $7.5 million on a contract first awarded in 2011. The new funding will go toward researching ways for one person to control multiple drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles. The school’s work will revolve around the Remotely Piloted Aircraft Transit Operations Workstation, which a military operator uses to control the UAV.
