Wright State students raised $58,056 for Dayton Children’s Hospital during Raiderthon, the university’s seventh annual dance marathon, in the Student Union Apollo Room.
“It’s just amazing to see how hard college students are working to give back to their community,” said Alexis Hobbs, a junior elementary education major and Raiderthon organizer.
Students stayed on their feet throughout the Nov. 16 event, which ran from 10 a.m. Saturday to 1 a.m. Sunday, dancing for patients at Dayton Children’s who are battling life-threatening illnesses.
More than 330 dancers registered for the event. Over the past seven years, Raiderthon has raised more than $335,000 for Dayton Children’s.
