XENIA — Two Cedarville University graduates will share their experiences as missionaries in the Kingdom of Swaziland on Sunday, Nov. 6, as Zion Baptist Church’s missionary society presents “Missions in Action.”
Medical missionaries Harry and Echo VanderWal talk about their efforts with The Luke Commission, a faith based, non-profit organization that has been providing help and support to the inhabitants of southern Africa since 2005. Working with 15 highly-trained Swazis, the VanderWals endeavor to share the Gospel and deliver comprehensive health care to 25,000 rural patients a year in Swaziland, an African nation with the highest HIV/AIDS infection rate in the world.
Harry attended Wright State University School of Medicine. In 2006, Harry completed his residency training in internal medicine/pediatrics at Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine. Echo attended Kettering College of Medical Arts and graduated as a certified Physician Assistant in 2000.
