FAIRBORN — A privately owned apartment complex that Wright State University is considering buying is in foreclosure.
Campus Village at Cimarron Woods, owned by Michigan-based Campus Village Management, had a foreclosure civil lawsuit filed against it March 30 in Greene County Common Pleas Court.
A few weeks ago, Wright State Vice President for Student Affairs Dan Abrahamowicz said the 300-bed property “is a nice replacement [for older housing] and also it’s so close to campus.”
Some of the buildings are only three years old, which are much newer than the older Forest Lane apartments.
“If it’s in foreclosure now, that’s news to us,” Abrahamowicz said Wednesday. “It doesn’t necessarily diminish our interest.”
