Wright State University alumni, students, employees and family members can help four local nonprofit organizations by volunteering during the Alumni Association’s Alumni Service Day on Saturday, Nov. 6.
All volunteer shifts will run from 9 a.m. to noon, and volunteers are asked to arrive on site by 8:45 a.m.
After their shifts, volunteers are invited to join the Alumni Association for a complimentary lunch at noon at the Dublin Pub, 300 Wayne Avenue in Dayton.
Volunteers should register online on the Alumni Association’s VolunteerHub page. Wright State community members can reserve volunteer spots for family members by emailing Bing Bingham, alumni relationship specialist, at emily.bingham@wright.edu.
Community service opportunities are available at Hannah’s Treasure Chest, the Humane Society of Greater Dayton, SICSA and United Rehabilitation Services:
- Hannah’s Treasure Chest: Volunteers will sort and organize inventory at the Hannah’s Treasure Chest facility, 124 Westpark Road, Dayton.
- Humane Society of Greater Dayton: Volunteers will clean and work in the dog park, socialize with animals and groom animals at the Humane Society, 1661 Nicholas Road, Dayton.
