For the 10th year, Wright State University students, faculty and staff made “Cards for Kids” for patients at Dayton Children’s Hospital on Nov. 16 in the Educational Resource Center in Dunbar Library.
Dozens of volunteers made 140 hand-designed cards during the three-hour event, which was sponsored by the Dean’s Student Advisory Board in the College of Health, Education, and Human Services.
“We wanted to make cards because we thought it was important for the kids just to have a smile on their face,” said Tiffany Snider, a senior majoring in elementary education.
Organizers estimate that thousands of cards have been donated to Dayton Children’s Hospital over the past 10 years. Cards are distributed to patients during their meals at Dayton Children’s.
