Wright State Educators Rising members are collecting new toys for Christmas for Kids, a fundraiser organized by For Love of Children (FLOC).
New toys can be donated at the Office of Partnerships and Field Experiences located at 378 Allyn Hall until Dec.10. All donors will be entered into a raffle to win a pizza gift card.
“It’s just really special because we can still touch children’s lives without being in the classroom,” said Samantha Fadely, a sophomore early childhood education major and Educators Rising member. “I really want to see children wake up and be super excited just like we all were at Christmas.”
Over the last month, students posted flyers around Allyn Hall and set up tables to collect toys to bring joy to children during the holiday season.
A 100% volunteer agency, FLOC serves over 6,000 children in the Greater Dayton area who are neglected, abused, in foster care or in need of community resources.
