Wright State honors outstanding faculty at inaugural research awards event

Wright State faculty were honored with the Outstanding Scholarly and Creative Activities Awards and the Public Impact Recognition Awards.

Wright State University recognized faculty at the first Outstanding Scholarly and Creative Activities and Public Impact awards ceremony on Feb. 1 in the Stein Galleries in the Creative Arts Center.

The Offices of the President, Provost and Research and Sponsored Programs held the event to recognize the recipients of two newly created awards.

Awards were presented for Outstanding Scholarly and Creative Activities, which celebrates the extraordinary achievements of faculty in both STEM and the arts and humanities for their exceptional scholarly or creative achievements that have garnered national or international recognition in their respective fields since 2020; and for Public Impact Recognition, which celebrates the critical importance of impactful research in local communities.
