Ready to fly

More than 300 potential students and their families learned why it’s a great time to be a Raider at Wright State University’s open house on June 18 at the Wright State Nutter Center.

“This is one of the largest events that we’ve been able to host,” said Jen McCamis, interim chief recruitment and admissions officer.

At Raider Open House, future students and their families learned about Wright State; connected with faculty, staff and students; explored majors and programs; and toured campus.

“They seemed really excited to talk to us,” said Riley Bannister, a senior at Westerville South High School. Bannister attended the open house with her father and both were excited to learn about the Department of Theatre, Dance and Motion Pictures.

The next Raider Open House is planned for Friday, July 23, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Nutter Center. All participants are required to register at wright.edu/raideropenhouse.

Wright State admissions staff will provide details on how participants can start their application to Wright State and pay for college. Participants can also learn about the Wright Tuition Guarantee Program, which locks in the same annual cost of tuition, housing and dining over a four-year college career for newly admitted, degree-seeking undergraduate students who are Ohio residents.
